Our Grandma, Paul's Mother always hosted special holiday's and loved everything that surrounded any religious holiday. Grandma Thieneman worked for Paul's Fruit Market for years up in her 80's and even until 93. Her love for family and children was one that involved the ability to be strong during challenging times, to work hard and to celebrate the good times. In the above photo, she is in her home with a few of the many grandchildren. She made the best black walnut cookies and had a bit of a sweet tooth. She taught us many valuable lessons about faith, life and that having a sense of humor was important which came in handy while she raised nine children.
On this first day of Spring, I wish each of you the many joys of the season of Passover and Easter.
