I love the flavor of concord grapes but not so much the texture. I came across this recipe.
Concord Grape sorbet. Eureka!
Combine the following. Place covered in the fridge overnight. The next day run this mixture through a food mill.
- 3 lbs. concord grapes, stemmed, washed
- 1/4 C. sugar
- Make simple syrup. Combine and cook until sugar is completely dissolved.
- Refrigerate overnight.
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup water
- Combine grape juice and simple syrup and process in ice cream maker until it looks "milky" in color rather than deep purple. I find this usually takes about 30-35 minutes.
